It doesn’t always need to be a walk

Some mornings toddler wakes earlier or for whatever reason we can’t get out for a morning walk. Thankfully mum has an array of exercises for me to do rather than our walk. Check out some of them like Backwards Heel in Training Tip Tuesday.

Only need some treats and then a bit of creativity to come up with some games.

This morning mum was teaching me to step up on this low box and then turn while keeping all 4 paws on the box. Supposed to have something to do with mum’s preoccupation with my bum.

And because toddler was already awake she wanted to join in too. She got strawberries rather than my treats. Not sure what was wrong with my treats but I’m ok not to share.

And then it is lots of rest today before an agility trial tonight.

we got donna to step up to the human weighing scale and sit-stay, never occurred to me to make her turn around on it. Haha… will try.

It is a fun little game that doesn’t take much space. We also do front legs up “step” and back legs up “feet”. The back legs up is all about this bum awareness.
